I watched a bit of The Ten Commandments Saturday night, the Cecil B. DeMille classic with Charlton Heston and Yul Brenner, and wondered how long it has been airing on television the night before Easter. As long as I can remember.
C-17 Daddy (Steve) joined us for church and an excellent Easter dinner prepared by my wife. The sweet potatoes were particularly tasty.
Due to the rain we dyed the eggs and hid them indoors. Afterward, Steve and Harper were locked in an epic struggle of Easter Hangman.

Sounds like a lovely Easter, and I hope Harper kicked Steve's patookis - in a good way, of course.
I love that movie!! It has been on at Easter weekend for quite some time. Never thought men in skirts would be sexy - but wow. The more times I watch that movie the more I appeciate Yul Brenner's physique.
In all seriousness though, I love that movie because it is really very inspiring and uplifiting. The Egyptians cursing Moses and removing his name from everything is kind of funny since he is one of the greatest men that ever lived. And Ramses was rotten but kind of tragic because he was doomed to lose to God.
Thanks again for having me over, Jay. Yes, Harper did kick my tail at hangman...
I hear Critter cheats at Easter hangman.
